Cliff Scaling in the National Park
Including total novices will quickly be climbing sheltered Peak District outcrops on this short session. Moclín, a picturesque white village in southern Spain, approximately a short drive from Granada, is the inspiring location for this creative getaway. Artists of every skill level – even beginners – will learn how to plan and create non-representational pieces. Part of the schedule will be spent outdoors, working on guided exercises out in nature. These initial sketches and watercolour studies will then be worked on in the workspace, with participants creating several abstract landscapes in acrylics to be shown in the village. Participants has sole use of the hotel, which is set around an open courtyard and has a roof terrace with panoramic vistas over the countryside. The fee encompasses five days of painting tuition; all meals; and an outing to the local castle and additional points of interest.

Vegetarian Cooking in Portugal
This Mediterranean culinary holiday, located at a villa by the river in the inland Algarve, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of celebrated cooks. Guests will learn to produce selection of small dishes, attend a hands-on falafel session, perfect mid-morning meals such as shakshuka, and make hearty mains including a rich mushroom stew and moussaka. There are visits to the local market and a nearby winery to taste Portuguese wines, plus leisure time for walks by the Funcho River, to unwind on the deck or swim in the pool. Street Dance in Buckinghamshire
Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, inclusive three-day adults’ street dance camp in High Wycombe. The daily schedule throughout the camp is a high-energy warm-up session, followed by several hour-and-a-half classes covering various urban dance forms, then an 60-minute jam to demonstrate new moves. Participants are divided into groups according to ability and experience, so it is suitable for those who are brand new to popping and locking, right up to advanced dancers or teachers. This event doesn’t include lodging but there are a number of hostels and hotels nearby, and it is under an hour by rail into central London.

Maritime Singing Weekend in Cornwall
St Ives is the ideal location for a maritime music retreat. Participants will learn traditional shanties from a folk singer and vocal coach, and have a go at writing their own. There will be vocal warmups, breathing exercises, stagecraft advice and a final evening concert. The holiday is held in a country house with views of the bay. He explores everything from plot, characters, setting and suspense, to submitting work to publishers.
